Terms of use and disclaimer
In short: Kiwi Sketch explains topics in a general, playful way. The lessons are not legal, security, medical, financial or other professional advice. We work hard to get everything right, but we cannot rule out mistakes. Check important decisions with a professional or an official source. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in the EU, 999 in the UK, 911 in the US).
1. Provider and scope
Kiwi Sketch (kiwisketch.com) is operated by rainmaker labs GmbH (see the imprint). These terms apply to the use of the website and all lessons. By using it, you agree to them.
2. What Kiwi Sketch is
Kiwi Sketch offers free animated micro-courses on topics such as cyber security, AI literacy and staying safe on social media. You don't need an account; if you like, you can sign in to use your progress on several devices, and delete the account yourself at any time. There is no right to have the website or any lesson available at all times; we may change, add or remove content at any time.
3. General information, not advice
- The lessons simplify on purpose, so they can be understood in a few minutes. They do not cover a topic completely and do not take your personal situation into account.
- They do not replace legal, technical, medical, psychological, financial or educational advice.
- Laws, attack methods, apps and platform settings change quickly, so content can be out of date even though we review it regularly.
- Help and reporting services, phone numbers and websites we mention belong to third parties. They can change; if in doubt, check directly with the organisation.
- People, companies, messages and situations in the lessons are invented. Any resemblance to real people or companies is coincidental.
4. For children and teenagers
Some courses are made for children and teenagers. They are meant to start conversations with parents, teachers and other trusted adults, not to replace them. If a child or teenager is threatened, blackmailed or harassed online, contact a trusted adult, one of the help services named in the lesson, or the police.
5. No warranty
We create and check the content with care. However, we give no warranty that it is correct, complete, up to date or fit for a particular purpose. Results, badges and points in the lessons are learning aids, not certificates or proof of qualification.
6. Liability
Kiwi Sketch is free of charge. We are therefore liable only for intent and gross negligence. This does not affect liability for injury to life, body or health, liability under the German Product Liability Act, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Beyond that, we accept no liability for decisions you make based on a lesson alone.
7. Links to other websites
The operators of external websites we link to are solely responsible for their content. We do not adopt it as our own.
8. Using the content
Texts, graphics, animations and mascots are protected by copyright. You may use the lessons privately and in teaching, and link to them. Any other use, in particular copying, modifying or commercial use, needs our prior written permission.
9. Reporting mistakes
Found a mistake, or is a help service out of date? Email us at hello@rainmakerlabs.dev. We check every report and correct the content as quickly as we can.
10. Privacy
How we handle data is described in the privacy policy.
11. Final provisions
German law applies. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. The German version of these terms is binding; this English version is for information only. If any provision is invalid, the rest remain valid.
