Internet of Things (IoT)

The Internet of Things (IoT) means everyday objects connected to the internet, such as cameras, smart plugs, doorbells, TVs and speakers.

Each IoT device is a small computer. Many ship with weak passwords and get few updates, which makes them easy targets.

Hacked IoT devices can be used to spy on a home, reach other devices on the network, or join a botnet.

Choose devices whose makers promise security updates, set a unique password, and put them on a guest network.
