Infostealer

An infostealer is malware that grabs the passwords, cookies, card details and crypto wallets saved on a device and sends them to criminals.

Infostealers often hide in cracked software, fake game cheats or fake updates. They can collect everything in minutes and then delete themselves.

Stolen session cookies can let attackers into accounts that are already logged in, sometimes without needing your password or MFA again.

If you suspect an infostealer, clean or reset the device, then change passwords and sign out of all sessions from a different, clean device.
